How to Reach Oxford and the Venue

Getting to Oxford from Nearby Airports

Oxford is well connected to major UK airports by direct coach services, train connections via London, and road access. Public transport is strongly recommended.

From London Heathrow Airport (LHR)

Direct coach - the airline (recommended):
  • The Airline Coach (Oxford Bus Company) runs direct services between Heathrow and Oxford.
  • Frequency: every 20-30 minutes
  • Travel time: approx. 1 - 1.5 hours
By train:
  • Heathrow Express or Elizabeth Line to London Paddington, then train to Oxford.
  • Travel time: approx. 2 - 2.5 hours.
By car:
  • Approx. 1 - 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
  • Parking in central Oxford is very limited (see parking notes below).

From London Gatwick Airport (LGW)

By coach (the airline):
  • Direct Airline Coach service to Oxford.
  • Travel time: approx. 2 - 2.5 hours.
By train:
  • Train to London (Victoria or Paddington), then to Oxford.
  • Travel time: approx. 2.5 - 3 hours.
By car:
  • Approx. 2 - 2.5 hours.

From London Luton Airport (LTN)

By coach - National Express
  • National Express services (usually with one change).
By train:
  • Shuttle to Luton Airport Parkway → London St Pancras → Paddington → Oxford.
  • Travel time: approx. 2.5 - 3 hours.
By car:
  • Approx. 1.5 - 2 hours.

From London Stansted Airport (STN)

By train:
  • Stansted Express → London Liverpool Street → Underground → Paddington → Oxford.
  • Travel time: approx. 3 hours.
By coach - National Express:
  • National Express (typically with a change).
By car:
  • Approx. 2.5 - 3 hours.

From Birmingham Airport (BHX)

By train:
  • Direct or one-change services from Birmingham International to Oxford (GWR)
  • Travel time: approx. 1 - 1.5 hours.

Travelling to Oxford by Car (Important Information)

Oxford has strict traffic controls and very limited city-centre parking.

  • On-street parking is scarce and time-limited.
  • Visitors are strongly advised not to drive into the city centre.

  • Water Eaton

Park & Ride buses run frequently into the city centre.


Arriving in Oxford

  • Oxford has a main railway station (Oxford Station) with frequent trains from London Paddington and other UK cities ( (GWR)
  • From the station, most central locations can be reached on foot, by bus, taxi, or bike.
